From the forlorn sheets of the ocean in waves, suffocating
I wake up feeling moving's progress
But never move that far
Bluebird, perched on the window
Can you explain entertaining
This illusion that life calls enjoyment
Feasting on the delusion of fame
But it's not that we can't be free of our fear of moving out
It's that we're bound by the shackles of society that tells us to work
While we look up to the rich who don't play the same game
To slave away in these cubicles
I'm not jealous, I'm not blaming them
We did this to ourselves

I wake up angry to the cold tough of nightmares
Feasting on the dreams of my celebrity ghost
They tell you that you can make it someday
But you won't, and you can't
You can't have the same expectations laid out in a free market
That promotes mediocrity to the beat of our contentment
Well I don't want contentment, I want a life, not a sentence
And it's not that we cannot enjoy a sunset or a rainbow
It's that our brains get so fried by our jobs that I don't blame you for hating them
And what's money without happiness?
Is it worse that a poor man's family?
Entitlement, not enlightened
But I think I'd find peace if I had time to relax

Heaven leave us something on this planet
